Welcome to Babcock Neighborhood School. Here, we are truly a neighborhood, with teachers, community partners, and parents working together to provide our students with the best education possible. We continuously strive for excellence in our teaching practices, curriculum, and resources. As we say, we’re here for Every Trailblazer, Every Day.

In grades K-5, BNS offers a meaningful educational experience through real-world application and high student engagement. We utilize a greenSTEAM and AICE curriculum delivered by innovative Project-Based Learning (PBL).

Our History

Babcock Neighborhood School was founded in 2017 with the development of the Babcock Ranch community.

Our caring staff goes above and beyond to deliver interactive, quality instruction. They are PBL masters and passionate about their students.

Our Location

Babcock Ranch provides opportunities for hands-on, project-based learning (PBL) with a greenSTEAM focus.

Our Charter

BNS is a Florida public charter school. A lottery is done yearly with priority given to Babcock Ranch and Charlotte County students.

Our Goal

We want students to leave our school with the skills, confidence, and thinking needed to take on the world as part of our Trailblazer Family.

Project-Based Learning

At its core, Project-Based Learning (PBL) is unscripted. While our teachers help drive student questions and apply to FL state standards and curriculum, our PBL projects are student-led and student-driven. The goal is to solve real-life problems with creativity, innovation, and critical thinking. We're so proud of their work. Here's a recent example of one of our elementary student-led projects.
