Babcock High School Advanced Placement (AP) Program

The AP Capstone program at Babcock High School represents an innovative educational pathway that prepares students for college and beyond, emphasizing independent research, teamwork, and advanced communication skills.

Comparable in rigor to our Cambridge offerings, the AP courses at Babcock High School demand high academic standards. Students are expected to be self-motivated, exhibit strong study habits, and commit to excelling in this challenging college preparatory program.

The total credit requirement for the AP diploma program is 24. Additionally, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, in line with the requirements set by the State Department of Education.

It’s important to note that students not pursuing the full AP Diploma can still benefit greatly from enrolling in individual AP courses. These classes offer the opportunity to earn college credits and prepare for higher education with a robust academic foundation.
