Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment Opportunities at Babcock High School

Babcock High School partners with Florida Southwestern State College (FSW), Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), and Charlotte Technical College (CTC) to offer students exceptional opportunities to accelerate their education and prepare for college or careers.

These programs allow high school students to enroll in college-level courses while still completing their high school diploma. It’s an ideal pathway for students who are ready to embrace the challenge of higher education and wish to accelerate their academic journey.

The Dual Enrollment program is tailored for students who demonstrate academic readiness and the maturity to handle the demands of college coursework. Participation in this program not only provides a taste of college life but also allows students to earn college credits that can be applied towards their future degree.

Enrolled students can choose from a wide range of courses offered by FSW, FGCU ACE program, or CTC programs enabling them to explore and deepen their understanding of subjects that interest them. This exposure to college-level education not only bolsters their academic profile but also aids in a smoother transition to full-time college education post-high school.

To be eligible for the Dual Enrollment program, students must meet certain academic criteria, including a requisite GPA, and be approved by both Babcock High School and the college of their choice. These collaborative programs are a testament to our commitment to providing students with diverse and challenging educational opportunities, preparing them for success in college and beyond.
