BNS Principal’s Message

Welcome to Babcock Neighborhood School. Here, we are truly a neighborhood, with teachers, community partners, and parents working together to provide our students with the best education possible.

At BNS, we believe young learners can make a difference and change the world. Students are provided with opportunities to be creative in an authentic learning environment by answering real-world questions through the Project-Based Learning (PBL) process. This approach encourages students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and apply their knowledge in meaningful ways. It not only enhances academic skills but also helps students develop essential life skills such as teamwork, communication, and adaptability. We are different for a reason, and our goal is to empower students to take ownership of their learning and become lifelong learners.

At the heart of our school are the relationships we build with one another. We believe that fostering a supportive and inclusive environment is essential for the growth and well-being of all our students. These connections not only create a sense of belonging but also inspire collaboration, empathy, and mutual respect. We encourage everyone to take the time to get to know one another, celebrate our diverse backgrounds, and work together to create a positive and nurturing school culture. The safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priorities. This includes not only physical safety measures but also mental and emotional well-being. We have implemented comprehensive safety protocols and support systems to ensure that every member of our school community can thrive.

We are committed to providing students with a positive environment and the opportunity to make mistakes and learn from them, which is critical in supporting the whole child. Our teachers are passionate about teaching and committed to providing a high-quality education for all students. We continuously strive for excellence in our teaching practices, curriculum, and resources.
